Originaire du Sud-Kivu, en République Démocratique du Congo, Monsieur Makamare Balike Ezéchiel est porteur d’un diplôme de licence en science de l’environnement et gestion et administration de projets. Depuis 2007 il assure la coordination des activités de l'organisation des peuples autochtones Afrique solidarité (AFRISL-RDC) avec comme rôles coordonner les activités, classer et mettre à jour la liste des contacts développés, assurer la correspondance avec d'autres organisations, avec les autorités, assurer la continuité des relations développées avec les acteurs locaux et tenir à jour la liste des contacts, organiser des contacts liés à la défense des droits des BATWA et agir aux cotés de la communauté Batwa dans le cadre de leur bien être en défendant leurs droits. Soucieux de la précarité de la vie de sa communauté « Batwa » il a initié plusieurs projets pour les peuples autochtones notamment : le projet de mise en place d’une clinique mobile en faveur des peuples autochtones pygmées de la communauté Batwa confrontés à des grands risques de sécurité et des personnes déplacées dans les hauts plateaux du territoire de Kalehe dont les villages de Kakerekenge, Katasomwa, Chatondo, Munango, Kabona, Bwesi, Ramba, Murangu et Tshigoma dans le territoire de Kalehe, province du Sud-Kivu en République Démocratique du Congo et des villages de Bulolo, Chahoboka, Buyungule, Cibuga et Muyange dans territoire de Kabare et favoriser leur réseautage.Currently I am working as an indigenous community base researcher consultant. My name is Alice Nina Tipap from Ngorongoro and I am a Maasai. My highest level of education is bachelor of science in horticulture from Sokoine University of Agriculture. I have worked with different organizations in agriculture sector including Rijk Zwaan Q-sem 1 Tanzania as a Team leader breeding support station, livelihood and resilient officer at World Vision Tanzania, Currently I am working as an indigenous community base researcher consultant. I have ventured in other activities pertaining indigenous communities like translation, transcribing and voice overs to Indigenous Rights Radio- Johannesburg, South Africa and for Kilimanjaro Centre for Community Ophthalmology (KCCO). I participated in research on rangelands in indigenous communities in Northern Tanzania with Savannas Forever Tanzania. I am a founder of Oleng'oti le Nina, which is a platform of collecting, preserving and narating the Maasai indigenous knowledge on different things through storytelling and documentation for the future generation.

Abu Ibrahim is an ace social worker who has been on the cutting edge of industry advancement in the community development space. He has spent a major part of his career iterating and programming to find the perfect solution which better helps children and youth in the rural communities of Northern Ghana to realize positive life outcomes. His goal is to contribute to remedy the situation of ignorance which results into ill-health, unemployment, streetism and poverty among the children, youth, women, and girl-child in particular in Africa. I am a young humanitarian professional with over 6 years of experience working in humanitarian response in Cameroon and the region. I am currently the Projects Coordinator at the Integrated Youth Empowerment Center (IYEC), a national non-profit organization founded in 2003. During the past year my professional accomplishments have been centred around improving the access to quality education for children/youths affected by the ongoing anglophone crisis. I am motivated by the passion of working with young people and by the desire to contribute my token in reducing the impact of the ongoing crises on youths. As project coordinator, I designed a project to improve the access to quality education by vulnerable youths. The project has paid the school fees of, provided didactic materials to over 200 youths in Limbe. Furthermore, I championed the creation of community dialogues structures where I lead the capacity building of over 300 adolescences on different aspects of reconciliation, peace building and conflict resolution as well as how to adopt positive mechanisms to mitigate the impact on their mental health and wellbeing. My long-term goal is to empower youths and contribute to poverty alleviation, fight hunger, build resilience towards climate change, and mitigate the effects of food insecurities while improving livelihood activities in remote and crisis-affected communities.

Silas is rural based human rights lawyer with more than 5 years experience advocate for and promote equal economic, political, justice and social rights and opportunities through legal and policy advocacy, capacity building and community empowerment. I am also working with Association for Law and Advocacy for Pastoralists (ALAPA) on research to indigenous women on climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies by introducing kitchen gardens, chicken rearing and bee keeping. I run Youth civic engagement activities as a platform to protect traditional medicine for indigenous. Provided clarification on legal specifications to the community around reserved forest. Handled, Reported, researched and monitored human rights violations as well as transparency and accountability issues. Conducted seminars, public/community meetings and workshops on promotion of good governance, human rights and rule of law. Also promote on civic education through dialogues and share resources such as handbooks, and news with indigenous, and PWDS From 2018 I have established 62 platforms to advocate for achieve SDG 5 by initiating activities that support political and civic participation of women in rural/semi-urban areas with objective to support women to have equal say in meetings, dialogues, fora at villages and at district levels.  I have provided legal aid including training on land rights protection I have a strong relationship with the beneficiary and stakeholders; for example in 2019-2020: 803 youths, 611 local government Authorities, and normal citizens 1,690.

Tahiru has in-depth knowledge and work experience in social work, specifically youth development and climate change, capacity building of fellow youth on the SDGs and an active volunteer for Global Partners for Education (GPE) – Youth Leader for Ghana. She is a LEARNER GUIDE FACILITATOR FOR CAMFED and a trainer of trainers. She believes that Education is the tool that breaks down all barriers and it is part of the foundation of all progress and growth, both as an individual and as a society.
